Anchorage Sen. Cathy Giessel spoke briefly at a rally for Justice for Ted Stevens in Juneau on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Sen. Giessel talked about being one of the first class of student interns to serve in Sen. Stevens’ Washington, DC office after he had been appointed in 1968, following the death of Sen. Bob Bartlett. In 2008, Sen. Stevens was tried and found guilty of failing to report gifts, but the results of the trial were thrown out and the prosecution dropped when flagrant violations by prosecutors came to light.
Eagle River Senator Fred Dyson comments on the life of Palmer Rep. Carl Gatto, who passed away on Tuesday, April 10 after a long bout with cancer. Gatto, 74, had represented Palmer and the Matanuska Valley in the Alaska House of Representatives since first being elected in 2002
